She is Ireland’s version of Spiderman (crossed with Mother Teresa) and now she has been unmasked..
Sometimes three words is all it takes to put someone smack bang in the middle of a nations conscious, Obama had "yes we can", Bart Simpson had "eat my shorts" now it has been revealed that Ann Laferty has "Leave it Out"
Since the now famous ‘Leave it out’ video which has been doing the rounds in various guises on Youtube, everyone wanted to know just who was the concerned citizen attempting to break up a brawl (well, more of a pasting) on Dublin’s Talbot St.
The Irish Independent carries a picture of Ann today who was unveiled on FM 104’s strawberry alarm clock.
“I kept it up till they stopped. They walked away then,” said Ann. See? Superhero.
She was completely unaware that she had become an internet sensation until her neighbour told her of new found fame
“She said Ann come here till I show you something.” Well, more hear something, but we get it "I could see myself and the voice and the whole lot,” Ann said.
“When the video came out first, you could see me walking over. In a black coat and grey hair” added Ann.
And if you wondered what happened to Ann in the moments after the fight well wonder no more, according to Ann, she walked to the paint shop and then went home…like all great superheroes Ann is just an ordinary person doing an extra ordinary job (trying to stop random fights on Talbot St... she must be bo*****ed)
For those of you who think this is a non-story we at JOE have three simple words ‘LEAVE IT OUT’
You can listen to the FM104 interview above.
