A man from Donegal won a whopping €250,000 in the Lotto Plus 2 draw last weekend and so did his ex after she used the same numbers.
It looks like we’ve found a match made in lottery heaven as two people from the same town won €250,000 in the Lotto Plus 2 draw last Saturday. The only catch is that the two people already know each other, because they used to be married.
Pat O’Hagan and his estranged wife Margaret Doherty both scooped the Plus 2 jackpot by using the same numbers that they’ve been using since 1988. The pair decided to continue to use the numbers even after they split, so that explains why they’re meeting once again.
The pair travelled to the Lotto HQ in Dublin by Bus Eireann together and according to friends they’ve kept on good terms since they split a few years back.
"They realised on Sunday when they heard there were two winners in Letterkenny that they had both continued to do the same lotto numbers," said one friend.
"They had no bother getting the same bus up to Dublin to collect their winnings," she added.
Well at least they both won something. Sure they probably wouldn’t have gotten a cent off the other if they didn’t have their own ticket.
