The JT McNamara fund has received a great boost today from Michael O'Leary as he donates €200,000
By Adrian Collins
Michael O'Leary will donate all €200,000 of the winnings that his horse Akorakor made today after a win at Fairyhouse to the JT McNamara fund.
The fun was set up to help McNamara, who suffered serious injuries at Cheltenham and was paralysed as a result.
The gesture from O'Leary is a nice touch, and Gogginstown House Stud, owned by the Ryanair boss, handed over the cheque which was due to go to the winner. Given that he usually grabs the headlines for the wrong reasons, it's a great gesture and certainly one that those at the JT McNamara fund will appreciate, we're sure.
