A man from Muff in Donegal was recently fined for a couple of offending stickers he had placed on his car windscreen; a crime which led to this ingenious headline in a local newspaper.
We thought that the range of phrases available for vehicle stickers didn’t extend much beyond ‘Wide load’ or ‘Baby on board’, but one man in Muff, Co. Donegal procured one that probably made him the envy of other motorists in the north-west.
The motorist in question probably didn’t think that having a sticker with the phrase ‘When she bumps, she bounces’ on his car would ever get him in trouble with the law, but it turns out that it was more trouble than it was worth.
Not because of the phrasing, mind – who in their right mind could be offended by that – but because the sticker, along with another sticker with the phrase ‘Whiter’ on it was deemed by a Garda to be obstructing the view of the driver of the Volkswagen Passat, who was also pulled for a bald tyre and no front left lamp in what proved to be a costly appointment with local law enforcement.

We’re not sure exactly how recent the story is, but we thought that it was too good not to bring to your attention. As far as unintentionally hilarious headlines are concerned, Muff really is the town that keeps on giving.
