Snakes out on a plane: Ryanair want to show porn on flights
Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary has announced his latest plan to wring every cent possible from his customers – in-flight porn.
The ever controversial O’Leary, who would make his passengers stand and remove on-board toilets if it would make more money, has announced plans to launch an app for Ryanair which would allow passengers to view pay-per-view blue movies on their smartphones or tablet devices while in the air, although the need to hold an iPad with two hands might negate the latter option.
The app would also enable passengers to play games and gamble, but we all know that those services would merely provide a smokescreen to ensure discretion for horny passengers availing of the smutty app.
Commenting on the potentially saucy development, O’Leary told The Sun: “I’m not talking about having it on screens on the back of seats for everyone to see. It would be on handheld devices.
“Hotels around the world have it, so why wouldn’t we?”
The revelations are bound to attract opposition from passengers concerned that the graphic movies would be visible to children and passengers of a more prudish disposition, but the impending mass protest will have to wait as Ryanair have said that the pornography plans would take at least a year to introduce on their flights.
Again money is the major concern, as establishing a cost-effective way of having a solid broadband connection on their planes would be a major obstacle.
Still it looks as if it may eventually come to pass, which means that the phrase ‘Snakes on a Plane’ may enter into the lexicon as more than just the title of a fictional movie starring Samuel L Jackson.
Rumours that Cork DJ Neil Prendeville was testing the app on THAT infamous flight last year have yet to be substantiated.
