Video: Irish students come up with new solution to washing-up problem

They won’t win any Oscars for their performances, but we admire these lads commitment to this smashing idea.

One of the downsides to the exciting world of communal college living is the scourge of washing up. Probably living without the luxury of a dishwasher, the job simply has to be done by hand and we all know that some lads just don’t pull their weight when it comes to getting the Fairy Liquid (more likely to be Lidl version to be honest) out.

‘Starring’ Eoin Himpers, Stephen Dwyer, Aaron Duigna and Diarmuid Higgins this video shows one bunch of lads who have had enough and take out their frustration on the poor old crockery.

As we said, we don’t think they won’t need to hire a tuxedo out for awards season but as student pranks go, we’ve seen an awful lot worse.

By the way, we don’t recommend this policy unless you have a larger than normal student income so maybe just invest in a few paper plates if the old kitchen rota is wearing you down at this stressful time.
