President of the Olympic Council of Ireland Pat Hickey was arrested this morning at his hotel in Rio.
National Brazilian newspaper
Estadao reported that Police carried out the arrest in Barra da Tijuca.
Pictures of his arrest have emerged with Mr. Hickey dressed in a dressing-gown.

BBC are reporting that police have said Pat Hickey tried to escape from them when they confronted him at the OCI hotel.
They've since updated their description of his 'escape' to say that Hickey "slid his Olympic pass under the door and fled into the adjacent room".
People were already beginning to see the irony of his actions...
