Donald Trump fired from NBC over derogatory remarks about Mexican people

We're not even going to point out the irony.

It seems that US Presidential hopeful Donal Trump has once again upset a lot of people after some disparaging remarks about Mexican migrant workers in the US. Trump's latest gaffe has also jeopardised the Miss Universe and Miss USA pagents after the news that the NBC TV network are cutting ties with the entrepreneur. The pagents, which are co-owned by Mr Trump and NBC, will not be aired on the channel, it has been announced. This dramatic severing of ties has occurred following a stream of derogatory remarks from the businessman who has recently announced that he plans on running for the American Presidency. In a recent speech, Mr Trump accused Mexican people of bringing a number of things to America; "they're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists, and some I assume are good people, but I speak to border guards, and they tell us what we are getting." 250,000 people signed a petition following the remarks to have Trump fired from the network which lead to a statement being released from the channel saying "At NBC, respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values." On hearing the news, Mr Trump has said that he expected to lose the business relationship but he has also mentioned the idea of pursuing legal action in response to his firing. In the meantime, Trump's presidential campaign continues with the first candidate debate taking place in five weeks. That should be interesting. Hat-Tip via - ABC
