Graham Dwyer has been found guilty of murdering Elaine O’Hara and jailed for life.

The Dublin architect killed Elaine O’Hara in the Dublin mountains just hours after she had been discharged from a mental health hospital in August 2012.

The jury returned the unanimous verdict of guilty having deliberated for a total of seven hours and 33 minutes.

Mr. Justice Hunt told the jury that their actions had been examples of “first class good citizenship” after the case, and said that he “110% agreed” with the verdict based on the evidence that they had been presented with.

Dwyer had denied murdering childcare worker Elaine O’Hara and claimed that she died by suicide. Her remains were found on Killakee Mountain, Rathfarnham, Dublin, on September 13th, 2013.
