A man has died following an accident at his home involving the explosion of his television.
The man has been named locally by Donegal News as Wilson McGirr.
McGirr, who was in his 60s and who lived alone, was watching television when it caught fire late on Monday evening.
An investigation has been launched after the incident at the man's home in Raphoe, County Donegal.
According to the Garda Press Office, the incident happened between the hours of 11.30pm on Monday night and 12.20am early Tuesday morning.
