Kerry T.D. Michael Healy-Rae wasted roughly five minutes in congratulating Donald Trump on his victory in the United States presidential election.
Michael wrote: "Whether you like President Elect Donald Trump or not, we are where we are, it is time to congratulate him and to work in conjunction with him and others for the betterment of society.
"I would hope that President Elect Trump
will fix the road between Farranfore and Tralee will value the Irish people for what we are, hard workers and a country that has had great relations with America in the past.
"I wish him well in his endeavours."
