Homenews

Demand is sky high.

Last month, we posted two images that showed the extent of the rental crisis in Dublin at the moment. The images, which showed dozens of people queuing to view a house in Tallaght, illustrated the extent of the demand for accommodation in the capital and the crisis doesn’t look as if it’s going to go away anytime soon. On Tuesday evening, JOE reader Eduard Byrne sent us on an image of a queue for a house on Ranelagh Road in Dublin and suggested that there were far more people waiting to view the house than what you can see below. ranelagh Eduard said that there were at least 40 people queuing outside the house when the picture was taken at 6.10pm; the viewing wasn’t scheduled until 6.30pm. Another JOE reader, Cora Keeney, sent the picture below of the queue for the house a little later in the evening. ranelagh2 Does this type of scene look familiar to you? Cheers to Eduard Byrne and Cora Keeney for sending this our way. Got a story for JOE? Hit us up on Facebook or Twitter, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102 or mail editorial@JOE.ie.
