Injuries were sustained by a couple in their home after a gas explosion in Cork this morning.
According to TV3 Southern Correspondent Paul Byrne, there was an explosion at a home on Cork’s Lower Glanmire Road that left two people injured.
It was further reported that the people injured were the husband and wife who live in the home. It is believed that they are both in their 80s. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene.
Photos from the incident reveal several fire trucks at the location dealing with the aftermath.
