Fancy heading out for a nice relaxing road trip this weekend? Here’s a look at two great places you could head to, whether it’s with the family, or on your own.

Sometimes, there’s nothing better than hopping into the car and forgetting all of life’s woes with a nice long and relaxing road trip. So JOE and MSL have teamed up to bring you two ‘Road Trip’ options that will suit all kinds of drivers; from the experienced long trekkers to the restless short stoppers.

Taking place in The Curragh Racecourse, Co. Kildare, from June 27-29, the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival promises to be the ultimate sporting and social event of the Irish summer.

From top class horse racing to exquisite food and the Derby Music Village, the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival has something for everyone.

Check out the sea, surf and sounds of Sea Sessions

Sea Sessions takes place from June 27 to 29 in Bundoran, Co. Donegal, and it’s the only event of its kind here in Ireland. There will be some seriously competitive surfing events taking place as the event is the largest cash prize and highest profile surf event in the country.

There will also be some top class acts playing at Sea Sessions from The Dandy Warhols to Kelis, so it’s a must see for music and sea lovers alike.

Enjoy a traditional Irish session with the Galway Sessions

From June 16 to 13 the Galway Sessions will take place in a variety of venues and locations throughout the historic city of Galway featuring local, national and international acts.

There will be over 100 events scheduled in the various venues throughout the week starting at 1pm and finishing at 1am. The theme of this year’s festival is ‘composers’ and will feature the music of contemporary composers such as Charlie Lennon, Johnny Og Connolly, Marcus Hernon and local songwriter Don Stiffe, to name a few.
