Yesterday we brought you some pretty idiotic stuff from Australia and the US about Ireland. This is worse.
We hope you’re sitting down for this. Australian sports pundit Russell Barwick is in the UK to do a version of ESPN's Pardon the Interruption show with UK presenter Mark Chapman.
The show is meant to be the two lads discussing the Olympic issues of the day and on Monday’s show Ireland came up.
At about the 4:00 mark Barwick ponders why Ireland isn’t part of Team GB, just the like the ‘British’ Lions or in Six Nations or cricket.
While Chapman tries to explain there is no stopping Barwick who goes on to compare Ireland’s relationship with Britain like Hawaii’s with the US.
Jaw-dropping stuff. Watch it unfold here.
