The Government says they plan to link Dublin city centre with Dublin Airport using this handy service

Public transport in Dublin could get a lot more convenient.

We know that getting from Dublin city centre to the airport can be stressful, but the journey could be getting a lot easier if this plan comes to fruition. Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Tánaiste Joan Burton announced a €27 billion plan today to introduce a metro line to the capital.

According to The Irish Times, the metro link will arrive at the airport, via an underground route to Glasnevin, before finishing up in Swords. Don't get too excited yet though, because construction isn't set to get going until 2021, with the completion date due five years later. Still though, something to tell the grankids, eh? Eh?
