They can’t say they didn’t know it was coming.
Up to 90,000 people are expected to be affected by the Luas strike today and tomorrow, as Luas drivers belonging to SIPTU attempt to secure a pay rise more in line with their counterparts at Irish Rail.
The strike had been well-flagged before it took effect this morning, but that didn’t stop a significant amount of commuters from venting their anger on social media this morning.
With Luas passengers having to seek alternative travel arrangements, it’s not just people that regularly use the Luas who have been affected by the strike, of course and traffic has been somewhere approaching chaotic as a result.
If you happen to see a co-worker come into the office in a bit of a huff this morning, you’ll probably know the reason why.
More of the following to come tomorrow and next Thursday and Friday we’re afraid.
