Where was this when we were doing the Leaving?
Ireland has a long, and fairly complicated history. It has spawned many thousands of books, documentaries and academic papers but now, a very talented fella called RudtheSpud (John D Ruddy to his mother) has compressed the entire history of this little island into just six minutes.
From the very first signs of life here right up to the present day everything is covered here, in a slightly tongue-in-cheek fashion of course.
The illustrations are great and considering the often miserable history of this place, that he manages to make us smile a few times is some feat.
And, if you have a visitor to the country who needs a speedy run through our complex history, it is a great not-too-serious place to start.
