Former Cork hurler Conor Cusack opened up to Brendan O'Connor recently on the subject of the upcoming Marriage Equality referendum.
Speaking on the Saturday Night Show last month, Cusack spoke passionately and evocatively about the need for an equal society, and how one phone conversation in particular affected him.
Video has now emerged of a powerful excerpt from that interview.
"Every generation gets an opportunity to further the cause of humanity and make this world a better place for us all, and this upcoming marriage referendum is that opportunity for this generation of people," he says.
"I really hope that the Irish people take that on board."
