We’ve seen candidates pull out all sorts of stops to attract the attention of potential voters in the run-up to the General Election, but Martin Heydon has raised the bar for everyone involved.
The Fine Gael TD for Kildare South unveiled the promotional video for his campaign last night and it’s nothing short of spectacular, with a fictional Doc Brown taking ‘Marty’ back through everything he’s done for the county in order to provide a better future.
A Delorean, some nifty special effects, a device that can forecast when exactly a cow will calf and that cheesy wink around the 2:55 mark, this video really does have it all.

Kildare voters will obviously have their reasons for deciding who they'll vote for come the end of this month, but Heydon will certainly have earned admiration from some floating voters on the back of this performance.
