While those counties will bear the worst of it, it’s not looking good for the rest of the country either.
Despite strong winds in places, Friday is set to get off to a decent start and will be dry for a lot of the day before persistent spells of heavy rain in the west on Friday evening, with the risk of local flooding in parts.
Saturday is forecast to get off to a very wet start although conditions should improve throughout the day, when it will be mild with temperatures as high as 19 degrees in places.
Sunday, meanwhile, is expected to be cool, bright and breezy with the threat of heavy rain or even hail showers lingering throughout the day ahead of a similarly unsettled start to next week.
