Winter’s going nowhere: More sleet and snow showers expected this week

Homenews

Temperatures are expected to stay close to freezing this week as snow and sleet showers continue to fall.

Wintry weather will continue across the country until Wednesday at the earliest, with daytime temperatures set to stay between 6-8°C. Sleet and snow showers will die out on Monday morning, but temperatures will not rise above 8 degrees and Monday night will be frosty. Tuesday will start off misty, with light rain. The afternoon will see rain envelop the country - starting in Atlantic coastal counties, with these showers expected to turn wintry. Wednesday will see drier weather, but it will still be particularly cold, before milder temperatures finally come in on Thursday. Temperatures are expected to rise above 10 degrees before the weekend.
