What do you think are some of the most innovative businesses in the world? Fast Company have just released their annual guide to the businesses that they think matter the most. Some of the rankings are pretty surprising.
The fact that the Occupy Movement got ranked as a business is one of these surprises. Doesn’t calling it a business sort of diminish what the Occupy Movement is all about? Isn’t it all about fighting the system maaaan? And eh…occupying stuff?
Fast Company explain their decision for giving the Occupy Movement the illustrious 7th place on their Top 50 list because apparently the ‘business’ “embodies all the traits that make a Fast Company.” That’s all well and good, but we doubt the occupiers will be too happy with the label of “business” for the images that it conjures up of economy and capital and money.
Aside from the Occupy Movement, who made it into the top 10? For your reading pleasure we present the ten most innovative companies in the world.
Do you think Fast Company were right with their choices? Who would be in your personal top 10 list when it comes to the most innovative companies in the world. Who did Fast Company miss?
