Home Alone house goes on the market for €2.7m
It’s a house so big that you may forget to bring your child to France – yes, the gigantic house from Home Alone is on sale at €2.7 million.
Although the house’s realtors have not confirmed whether the house is full of hot iron-swinging contraptions and marbles on nearly every floor, John and Cynthia Abendshien have decided to downsize the stately Georgian abode which they lived in during filming of the 1990 family classic.
Marissa Hopkins from Coldwell Banker, the firm handling the sale of the house, told US entertainment site TMZ that “very few homes have a leading role in a movie, in a sense of becoming an additional character.’
Crucially, Marissa neglected to mention whether neighbour Old Man Marley has moved out. We hear we murdered his entire family.
The previously Joe Pesci-proofed home is a 4,250-square-foot reidence with fourteen rooms, four bedrooms, a chandelier and a screened-in porch. Sadly, Coldwell Banker have decided to only allow viewings for ‘qualified’ prospective owners.
“It would be a zoo,” Mrs Hopkins said, explaining the decision. “There are a lot of people who would like to see the Home Alone house if they were given the opportunity.”
