Man divorces wife after she refuses to part with her 550 cats

An incredibly patient man in Israel has decided to divorce his wife after she refused to back down and accept that maybe owning 500 cats is a little bit weird.

The unnamed couple lived together until things got to the point when the husband was no longer able to sleep in the marital bed due to the sheer volume of cats everywhere.

The dominance of the cats got so bad that the man informed the Rabbinical Court in the town of Beersheeba that he could no longer even use the bathroom or prepare meals.

"When he sat to eat, cats jumped onto the table and stole his food," wrote the Times of Israel.

Though the court ordered to couple to attempt reconciliation, ultimately the two went their seperate ways after the wife refused to part with her 550-strong brood.

Accepting that her decision was to stick by her man or her giant army of cats, the woman decided that a future resembling that of The Simpsons' feline-throwing 'Cat Lady' was more to her liking.
