Things get a bit hairy between Richard Keys and Sky again
It is now 18 months since Richard Keys quit Sky Sports following the now infamous sexism row. Today Sky gave him a call. He wasn’t happy.
Once you leave a job, unless you are Andy Carroll, it probably a good idea not to try and rekindle the relationship. They have moved on, you have moved on, it is best to leave well enough alone.
Former Sky Sports main man Richard Keys certainly seemed to have. With his former on-screen partner Andy Gray, Keys quit the station in January after a storm over sexist comments made by the pair.
Keys and Gray are still an on-air team. They now host a radio show on talkSPORT and neither they, nor Sky, mention the other. Until today.
Under his personal Twitter account, Keys tweeted thus today;

This provoked a lot of reaction from Keys’ 100,000 followers. Some backed him. Others accused him of being bitter while more made the type of jokes that we suspect Keys has endured countless times in the last 18 months.
Keys is a hard man to warm to at the best of times and his response to one tweet that the bill wouldn’t take much out of his budget was a bit unnecessary. But he also admitted he was furious about the call. We’re pretty sure the bosses in Sky didn’t decide to pick on Keys, his name just popped up in the database for some poor legal firm intern to call.
Anyway, it sounds like the former TV man is still smarting a little bit about leaving the station last year. Let it go Richard.
