Video: London’s 2013 firework’s display was pretty amazing

Cities across the world celebrated the New Year with style - well, most of them anyway - but none were quite as spectacular as the fireworks display in London.

There’s nothing like a good fireworks display to ring in the New Year and for Londoners last night, the NYE party kicked off with a bang. The display used 12,500 fireworks placed along the Thames and it incorporated famous London landmarks including the London Eye.

Mayor Boris Johnson said: "What an amazing end to an incredible year."

"Watched by hundreds of thousands in the capital and millions around the globe, London has proved, yet again, that it can pull off spectacular world-class events in style."
