In fairness to the folk who got caught out in this prank, the sticky wet substance could have been anything to them... and we mean anything.

According to YouTube, the pranksters waited outside the premier of the movie 42 - a biographical sports drama about the life of baseball player Jackie Robinson.

We’re just surprised that one of the baseball fans didn’t punch the pranksters in the face.
