Yesterday we all watched the terrifying moment when a toddler was picked up by a golden eagle in Montreal. Well, now we know for sure (100 per cent sure) that it was fake.
The golden eagle video sparked an internet frenzy yesterday as people heard the news that a small child was almost snatched by a massive bird of prey. You can

Early on, there were cries of the video being a fake, however, we posted it on our Facebook page and the consensus
over there was that it was shockingly real.
Thankfully, a French Canadian computer graphics school revealed that it was simply a project created by some students who made the clip as part of their degree in 3D animation and digital design.
"Both the eagle and the kid were created in 3D animation and integrated into the film afterwards," says the school's website. In fairness, when you watch the video above you can see the somewhat unrealistic movements of the child - but still fairly realistic all the same.
So at least we can all travel to Montreal now without fear of being attacked by giant birds.
