The Venezuelan government descended into chaos yesterday in a scene that was more than a case of handbags.

Tensions are high in the South American country with the upcoming presidential elections and things spilled over in parliament with a lot of punching and shoving and a few punches landed in the National Assembly.
Apparently things all kicked off when pro-government politicians started throwing punches after opposition coalition members unfurled a banner protesting against a post-election ban stripping them of most of their powers.
One politician was seen with blood running down his face with the opposition claiming 17 of their members were injured, with the government appearing to come out on top with just five reported injuries.
Here is the crazy action inside Parliament yesterday.
We were thinking how similar action would unfold in the Dáil, as the opposition would have a few bruisers of their own. Gerry Adams taking on Enda Kenny would certainly make for interesting viewing.
