Video of a Spanish woman being taken off a Ryanair flight in Valencia by armed police has sparked outrage in Spain with many calling for a boycott of the airline.
The video shows the woman as she’s removed from the plane moments before it takes off. According to the dailymailonline, the woman carried a scroll and a book on board with her as they wouldn’t fit in her suitcase, however, this was apparently deemed as extra carry-on luggage.
Other passengers can be heard shouting “shameful, shameful”, with some even saying they’d look after the extra luggage.
Spanish social media is now calling for people to boycott the airline over the incident. Ryanair on the other hand had this to say, "This passenger was in breach of airport security regulations, and having become disruptive was properly removed from the aircraft at the request of Ryanair agents."
