It wasn’t Halloween last night but for a while you would swear Jamie Heaslip was wearing a costume at the RDS such was the almost perfect smattering of blood on his face.
Heaslip was man of the match in Leinster’s incredibly hard fought 17-15 victory over Glasgow Warriors in the RaboDirect PRO 12 semi-final and had to put his body on the line on a number of occasions, as was evident when he suffered a cut to the noggin during what was a bruising battle against the Scottish side.
The cut didn’t affect Heaslip as he scored a try and delivered an individual display that stood out above the rest but it did make for a couple brilliant pictures captured by Inpho’s Dan Sheridan that illustrated the Irish skipper’s commitment to the cause.
