The lad playing the Devil on US TV looks a lot like Barack Obama

When news of this hits Moneygall we expect an angry mob to form real soon.

The History Channel in the US have started to show a series called The Bible and the fella who is playing the bad guy looks very familiar.

Conincidence or right-wing conspiracy? Guess that depends on your viewpoint but there is no doubting the fact that the guy who plays the Devil in a US TV adaptation of the Bible looks a lot like President  Barack Obama.

The guy who plays Satan, Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni, doesn’t normally look a lot like the Offaly man so you have to think the make-up department have had a helping hand here too.

The 10-part series covers the entire book, from Genesis to Revelations, and is proving quite popular in the US. However the appearance of the Obama lookalike has made it a bit of a media sensation today.

No news on when it will be shown in these parts, but we’re sure it will at some point.
