To whet your appetite ahead of the Heineken Cup final later today we’ve put together the five best tries of the competition this season to date. More of the same please.
1. Rhys Priestland (Scarlets v Perpignan)
An absolute stunner from Rhys Priestland for Scarlets in their win over Perpignan earlier in the season. Creator turns provider during a sequence of handling that leaves us mesmerised. Top notch stuff.
2. Isa Nacewa (Leinster v Leicester)
What a season it's been for Isa Nacewa. Instrumental in all things good about Leinster and if he can repeat a try like this one from the quarter-final he'll go down as an all-time legend.
3. Sam Tuitupou (Munster v London Irish)
A barreling run from David Wallace, a stroke of genius from Ronan O'Gara and the touch down by Sam Tuitupou. Munster weren't firing on all cylinders for the best part of the season but this is a standout moment.
4. Jamie Heaslip (Leinster v Toulouse)
Some of the greatest tries come when the backs are to the wall, when somebody needs to stand up and be counted. Half an hour into Leinster's semi-final clash with Toulouse the Irish province found themselves four points down, battering away at the Frenchies in their own 22.
Phase after phase and still there was no way through, until Jamie Heaslip summoned the courage.
5. Shane Williams (Ospreys v London Irish)
Shane Williams proves what a tricky customer he is to deal with at times. Magic moment.
