A few pictures to get Munster fans in the mood for the new rugby season
Munster are holding their first training session of the year today, meaning we get a first look at their new boys in red.
The 2011-12 season was a very tough one for Munster and their fans. A trophyless campaign was compounded by retirement after retirement by some of their longest serving stars.
But the great thing about sport is that there is always another year. With a new man at the helm, Kiwi Rob Pennney, there should be a spring in the step of the Munster players this season.
That the squad has added some badly needed new faces is also a boost and here’s your first chance to see them running around in Munster red.
Above, in the main picture, is former All Black and Cardiff centre Casey Laulala. We can’t wait to see him in action.

Then there’s James Downey, above, right, who has appeared, albeit briefly, in Munster colours in the past.

Here's Under 20 World Cup star JJ Hanrahan, above, blue bib, who is now a full Munster squad member.

And finally, here’s Paul O’Connell, keeping an eye on things from afar.
Looking forward to the start of the new season now, Munster fans? Thought you might be.
