Ulster will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season and Connacht will have their eyes on a second big domestic scalp in a week. Something has to give at Ravenhill tomorrow night.
Despite sizeable wins for both sides last weekend, Mark Anscombe and Eric Elwood have made significant changes for tomorrow night’s clash, with Anscombe making five changes on the Ulster side and Elwood making four for their opponents.
Coming into an incredibly strong-looking Ulster side are Irish internationals Rory Best, Declan Fitzpatrick, Stephen Ferris and Paddy Wallace, while captain Johann Muller returns to the second row alongside Dan Tuohy.
All Connacht’s changes, meanwhile, are in the pack, with Brett Wilkinson and Ronan Loughney coming into the front row and Dave Gannon and Willie Faloon partnering George Naoupu in the back row.
It mightn’t have the same appeal as Leinster v Munster on Saturday night but on the occasion of Ulster's first home game since the tragic death of Nevin Spence, it should still be a cracker nonetheless.
Kick-off is at Ravenhill on Friday at 7.05pm.
