Ireland winger Tommy Bowe will not feature in Sunday’s RBS 6 Nations clash with France at the Aviva Stadium.
Bowe, who missed the opener against Italy in Rome on Saturday, has been ruled out of contention as he continues his rehabilitation from a knee injury.
Stephen Ferris, Jamie Heaslip and Andrew Trimble have all been recalled to the 33-man squad, however.
Heaslip continues to make good progress in his recovery from an ankle injury and could play a part against the French.
An additional eight players have been called into the squad to supplement the 22 on duty at Stadio Flaminio - Brett Wilkinson, Mick O'Driscoll, Donnacha Ryan, Mike McCarthy, Nevin Spence, Johne Murphy, Andrew Trimble and Gavin Duffy.
Declan Kidney will name his team on Wednesday.
