Last year Connacht captured the imagination with their first year in the Heineken Cup and next Wednesday TG4 are documenting their most high profile season in the modern era.

We have said it before and we’ll say it again, when it comes to sporting documentaries, TG4 really know their stuff. Any sports fan worth their salt will have to mark next Wednesday night in their diary.
This latest installment from TG4 is well up there with anything the station has produced before as we get up close and personal with Eric Elwood and his team. In a week where Elwood announced his resignation, this warts-and-all documentary perfectly captures his passion for the green of Connacht.
It shows the roller-coaster of emotions during their European campaign culminating with the famous win over Harlequins.
Viewers go from seeing Taoiseach Enda Kenny politely clapping the team off against Toulouse to a blood-and-thunder rallying cry from inspirational leader Johnny O’Connor before the Gloucester game.
If this clip is anything to go by, the documentary promises to be gripping viewing. Check The West's Awake next Wednesday at 9.30pm on TG4.
