We’ve been waiting a few weeks for the first proper mass brawl of the rugby season and the lads from Agen and Bordeaux certainly didn’t disappoint.

The meeting between the two sides at the weekend was a tetchy affair throughout and just before the end, both sets of players had had enough and went at it hammer and tongs for a minute or so before running out of energy, having spent it all in the previous 75 minutes.

As you will see in the video above, the fighting is a bit sporadic but the respective number fours for either side - Esteban Lozada and Cameron Treloar – certainly weren’t shy about getting involved and paid for their over-zealousness with a red card apiece, while Hikairo Forbes and Jalil Narjissi were sent to the bin for the last few minutes.

We wouldn’t rule out something similar happening when Leinster and Munster go to battle at the Aviva this weekend, but a look at the brawl above should get your blood boiling before Saturday evening.
