Anyone else fed up of this Gangnam Style craze yet? Juan de Jongh obviously isn’t and he spoiled what was a quite brilliant try for Western Province at the weekend with a quite ridiculous celebration.
De Jongh was on the scoresheet during Western Province’s Currie Cup final victory over the Sharks on Saturday, running a great line from midfield and throwing a brilliant sidestep to evade the last defender and touch down under the posts.
De Jongh’s moves weren’t finished there, however, as he quickly rose to his feet and began a Gangnam style dance routine, which, mercifully (as far as we’re concerned anyway), was cut off fairly quickly as the cameras switched to jubilant Western Province supporters in the stands.
If you really want to see De Jongh’s routine, it’s given the slo-mo treatment in the replay afterwards, but we won’t be disappointed if we never see it again, particularly when he comes to Ireland as part of the Springbok squad next month.
Check out the brilliant try and the not so brilliant celebration in the video above.
Hat tip to the folks at Rugby Dump for the video.
