If newspaper reports are to be believed, Leinster back Luke Fitzgerald could be togging out in the red of rivals Munster next season.

The Irish Independent reports today that Munster had been showing interest in the Irish international before his cruciate ligament injury last weekend, though it hasn’t been confirmed if they have followed this up, with his contract expiring in June.
There are many reasons to be sceptical of the deal, given the player is out for six months and they have already lost other backs for next season, plus the fact Leinster have already offered the 25 year-old a new deal. Skills and kicking coach Richie Murphy confirmed the offer earlier this week.
“There's an offer on the table for Luke and he should be back at the start of next season, and as far as I know the contract that has been offered is still there,” he said.
Fitzgerald has been beset by injury and loss of form over the past two years and all rugby supporters will hope that regardless of where he is next season, the former Lions player will get back to full health and recapture the form that made him such a world-class talent.
