Alan Quinlan’s comments about the atmosphere at the Aviva for the England game had quite an impact and the IRFU took the opportunity to have a gentle dig at him ahead of the France game this weekend.
The former Munster and Ireland flanker seemed to have a point when criticising the lack of buzz created by Irish supporters before and during the clash with England last month, but whether he was right or wrong, his comments were the subject of plenty of debate afterwards.
Hopefully, Quinlan’s words will be ringing in the ears of the supporters going along to the France game this weekend and the atmosphere will increase accordingly, but just in case anyone was going to forget what he said, the IRFU saw fit to remind everyone in their promotional poster for the game on Saturday.
