Gardai in Crumlin are investigating the circumstances surrounding the picture.

An Instagram photo that was uploaded by UFC Featherweight champion Conor McGregor is being investigated by Gardai in Dublin. In the image that you can see below, The Notorious is leaning out the window of a car while holding what looks like a replica gun. There's some text accompanying the image also which reads "Put the fight game in the bag and step away from the vehicle." McGregor famously became the UFC Featerweight champion at UFC 194 following a 13 second victory over Jose Aldo and he has been widely tipped to be taking on Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC lightweight title.

Regarding his next bout, journalist Jeremy Botter is convinced that Dos Anjos is next in line for the Dubliner because he represents the biggest "money" fight available. If this fight takes place then The Notorious can potentially become just the third man to hold UFC titles in two different divisions. https://twitter.com/jeremybotter/status/685289648734638080 https://twitter.com/jeremybotter/status/685294752044990465 MMA Junkie have also weighed in on this speculation by saying "MMAjunkie subsequently confirmed the likely bookings with multiple people who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to publicly speak on such matters. If the report is true then Dos Anjos v McGregor isn't the only fight taking place on the March 5 event because Holly Holm looks set to defend her bantamweight belt against Miesha Tate. UFC officials declined comment when contacted by the website.
