He's not called 'Money' Mayweather for nothing.

The vast majority of punters didn't seem to enjoy Floyd Mayweather's victory over Manny Pacquiao in the so-called 'fight of the century' on Saturday night but he'll hardly care. He won, he remains undefeated and he earned an estimated $180 million from a purse worth approximately $300 million. Not a bad day at the office after all. huellgif The size of the purse wasn't exactly kept a secret before the fight, but it's when you break down Mayweather's earnings in relation to just the fight itself, as Mashable did, that it really puts things into perspective. It doesn't take a genius to do it, but when you divide Mayweather's earnings ($180,000,000) by the number of seconds in the fight (12x180 = 2,160) it works out at $83,333,333 (approximately €75,125) per second. Develop that a little more and you'll see that it works out around $5million (a little over €4.5 million) per minute, a good deal more than the positively pitiful $3.33 million (approximately €3million ) per minute pocketed by the defeated Manny Pacquiao for his night's work. Nice work if you can get it alright. captainmorgan
