Kevin Sheedy, the man who scored against England 25 years ago today.
Today is the 25th anniversary of Ireland drawing 1-1 with England at the World Cup in Italia ’90.
Our goalscorer that day, and therefore, our first ever scorer at the World Cup, was Everton’s Kevin Sheedy.
He’s taking a trip down memory lane today on Twitter:
OMG 25yrs today I scored Ireland’s first ever goal in the World Cup v England can still see Shilton waving as it went passed him @Everton
