JOE v Ladbrokes v The JOE Reader in the Ladbrokes Premier League Treble Challenge

Here we go again...

JOE

It’s that time of the week again where we go to war with one of our readers, as well as Hayley O’Connor from Ladbrokes, to decide who actually knows the most soccer-y stuff about football.

OK, maybe it’s not war, but we cannot help being competitive.

Every week, we’ll be putting a shout out on Twitter for JOE readers to send us in their Premier League treble selections via the #LadbrokesTreble hashtag and every week, one lucky winner will be able to put someone else’s money where their mouth is with a free €50 bet.

Here’s this week’s selections.

JOE’s Selections

Newcastle v Aston Villa, draw 12/5

Two poor teams, managed by limited managers, to play out a dismal game and cancel each other out.

Arsenal v Everton, Arsenal to win 11/29

One of these sides is playing well in domestic competition while struggling in Europe; the other one is doing the opposite. Hence why we’re backing the Gunners to win here.

Liverpool v Manchester City, Manchester City to win 13/10

The mental toil of playing extra-time and losing on penalties is sure to affect the ‘pool. We fully expect City to win here.

JOE Reader’s Selection

This week’s lucky punter is Niall Duffy

Ladbrokes Selection

West Ham v Crystal Palace, West Ham to win 19/20

We expect the Hammers to continue their quest for Europe with a convincing win here.

West Brom v Southampton, Southampton to win 11/8

The Saints haven’t been at their best in recent weeks but they’d be expected to win here.

Arsenal v Everton, draw 10/3

The good feeling from Everton’s midweek European win could help them nick a point here.

So who’ll be successful this week?
