Oliver Dingley finished in eighth place in the men's 3m springboard final on Tuesday night at the Rio Olympics.
He's Ireland's first Olympic diver in 68 years, since Eddie Heron competed in the 1948 Olympic games in London, and he produced a fine performance in the final last night.
The Yorkshire-born diver started well, and was sitting in fourth place in the standings after his third dive, but he waned towards the end and finished up in eighth spot.
Over his six dives he achieved a personal best score of 442.90 while China's Yuan Cao clinched the gold medal.
But Dingley's performance captured the hearts of many people as he spoke to RTÉ afterwards of his pride at representing Ireland...
