A move that's been mentioned for almost three years.
Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal may have finally found his favoured formation and starting XI but that hasn't stopped the United manager from planning ahead for next season.
Reports have emerged this evening that suggest Borussia Dortmund's holding midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is close to joining Old Trafford.
The German has been instrumental in Dortmund's recent glory years and he was at the heart of their surge to the Champions League final in 2012/13 where Klopp's men narrowly lost to Bayern Munich.
The German international scored in the final from the penalty-spot but he has been blighted with injuries since Wembley, recurring back and hamstring injuries kept him out for much of last season.
Gundogan has been back playing this season though and it seems that the usually reliable German paper Der Westen believe that he's joining United.
Sky Sports 'sources' have since confirmed the reports.
Like Klopp, it appears that the future of the 24 year old lies elsewhere and Man Utd seem to have stolen a march on their rivals.
