A petition to have Conor McGregor honoured by emblazoning his likeness on the €1 coin was scheduled to be discussed by the Oireachtas today. Unfortunately, the petition didn't even make it to the stage of a parliamentary debate, as the chairman of the committee was unable to make contact with Patrick O'Leary, who submitted the petition. The petition was deemed to be inadmissible.
