TWEETS: The reaction to a decent performance and a disappointing result for Ireland

A half of two halves.

Wes Hoolahan lifted every Ireland fan out of their seats just three minutes after the break when he curled Seamus Coleman's wonderful chipped cross into Isaksson's bottom-left corner. From that point on, Ireland largely relinquished their hold on the game and Sweden turned up the pressure. Ireland endured corner after corner and the chances largely dried up for the boys in green. Sweden continued to press and on the 70th minute, Ibrahimovic shook off John O'Shea a clipped a cross into the danger zone, where Ciaran Clark unfortunately turned the ball into his own net. In a somewhat typically Irish fashion, Ireland started playing again once Sweden levelled the score but it wasn't enough to seal the win, even with Robbie Keane's introduction to the fray.
